Ihmayed Ali is an Educational Specialist who has dedicated his
career to improving the lives of Palestine refugees. Ihmayed is
a holder of Master Degree in Education with an engineering
background.
He had been working in Jordan with the United Nations
(UNRWA) as an Educational Specialist, and in Lebanon as
Principal of Siblin Training Center.

Ihmayed Ali’s life and career are truly inspiring, reflecting a deep commitment to the betterment of young Palestinians and the Palestinian cause. His journey from a Palestine refugee camp to becoming an accomplished professional, educator, author, and activist demonstrates a remarkable dedication to making a positive impact.


Starting with a background in Electronic Engineering and furthering his education with a Master’s degree in Education, Ihmayed Ali chose to use his skills and knowledge to contribute to the educational development of his community. Joining UNRWA, he began as a Senior Instructor at Damascus vocational college, where he played a crucial role in supervising instructors and students while also being involved in teaching.


His commitment to education remained unwavering as he progressed to the role of Educational Specialist at UNRWA HQ in Amman. Here, he focused on developing curricula, instructional materials, and providing on-the-job training for instructors. This position allowed him to have a direct impact on the education and skill development of young Palestinians, aligning with his central motivation to support their growth and success.


In 1993, Ihmayed Ali further demonstrated his dedication by taking on the role of Principal at UNRWA Siblin educational college, showcasing his leadership in the field of education within the Palestinian community.
Beyond his professional roles, Ihmayed Ali showcased his passion for writing and advocacy. He authored instructional materials for UNRWA and penned books such as “Memories of Palestine Refugee” in Arabic and “Abandoned Palestine Refugee” in English. His commitment to sharing stories extended to translation, where he translated “Memories of a Doctor in Tel El-Zzaatar Camp” into English and further translated it into Swedish for distribution in Sweden.


As an activist, Ihmayed Ali wrote numerous articles advocating for Palestine and Palestinian refugees, contributing to the global dialogue on the Palestinian cause and raising awareness about the challenges faced by his community.


Even beyond education and activism, Ihmayed Ali’s compassion led him to work in the health sector in Canada, where he continued to dedicate himself to helping those in need. This multifaceted career reflects a deep commitment to improving the lives of people, embodying the principles of education, activism, and humanitarianism. Ihmayed Ali’s story is a testament to the positive impact an individual can have when driven by a strong sense of purpose and compassion.
